As I sit down to reflect on the last 10 years I am overwhelmed with emotion and gratitude. Where has the time gone?! How did my little boho pop-up shop get here?! What I’ve discovered is…all roads lead back to YOU. Customers that have turned into great friends and staff that have turned into family. Stitch & Stone has become so much more than a clothing store; it’s a collective, a family. I started Stitch with a goal of becoming a safe place for people to feel authentically themselves, a shop where everyone has space to express themselves, and I am so proud that through everything, we’ve stayed true to that original mission.
Together we’ve gone through so much, so enjoy a trip down memory lane…because 10 years in business is a big deal and I’m really proud of US for making it here!! While I am about to share some of my favourite memories, I would love for you to share some of yours! Whether it’s a comment, DM or photo…I’d love to take this trip down memory lane TOGETHER!!
Stitch & Stone began as a series of pop-ups before setting up our permanent shop in downtown Sudbury in 2015. Since then we’ve done so much…. created gift bags for the MTV Music Awards in LA, pop-up shop in Muskoka, opened Wildflower (a girls clothing store inspired by my daughter Payton), grown our online store (made so many lovely friends across Canada and the US), moved to the Kingsway, opened up our Warehouse, featured on the Marilyn Dennis Show, but most importantly, we’ve remained dedicated to giving back to the community that has given us so much. Countless fundraising events, community partnerships, sponsorships, bursaries and dollars donated to organizations that are providing invaluable resources, support and opportunities to those who need it most. None of these initiatives would have been as impactful without the support of our Stitch community; thanks to YOU, we have been able to make a difference…and that is what matters.
Here it is, one more time…the warmest and fuzziest THANK YOU from the bottom of my heart!! These last 10 years have been a dream come true, and I can’t wait to see what the future holds for us! Please enjoy some of these throwbacks…cue my happy tears!!!
