With the hustle and bustle of the holiday season upon us, it’s easy to get lost in the “wants”, “needs” and “wish lists”, but local clothing store, Stitch & Stone is focusing on the bigger picture this holiday season; giving back to those who need it most.
Black Friday is one of the busiest shopping days of the year and Stitch & Stone has committed to donating 10% of all Black Friday sales (in store and online on November 25, 2022) to the Sudbury Women's Centre.
“As a local business owner, it has always been extremely important to me to give back to the community I live, work and raise my family in, and the Sudbury’s Women Centre is an organization that I’ve always held very close to my heart,” explains Gabrielle Roy, Owner of Stitch & Stone. “They run such important programming and provide life altering resources and support for women in our community. This is just one way we can help raise awareness and give back to support the amazing work they do.”
Over the past 40 years, the Sudbury Women’s Centre has been dedicated to providing information, referral, and support services to women who have been impacted by violence and/or difficult life circumstances. The Centre offers key tools and resources that assist women in addressing issues of systematic discrimination and violence.
"We have truly built some amazing partnerships with various local businesses in our community. They all share the same passion as we do, which is helping our local community to live their best lives,” says Giulia Carpenter, Executive Director of the Sudbury Women’s Centre. “Without partnerships like the one we have with Stitch & Stone we are not able to do the work that we do."
