Stitch's Guide to a Sudbury Summer!

Stitch's Guide to a Sudbury Summer!

Hellooooo sunshine! Is it just us, or does it feel like an eternity since we've felt the warm weather? Either way, we've got the Summer vibes and we aren't letting them go any time soon!

As we gear up to make the most of the season, we want to share some of the local spots we love to hit up during a Sudbury summer!

Sudbury Market

Sticking in town over the weekends? We've got just the thing for you... The Sudbury Market! If you're looking to support local and find new makers around the city, this is your spot. From fresh produce, custom baked goods, apothecary, and so much more; the Sudbury Market is a definite must this year!

Saturdays 9AM-2PM at 233 Elgin St. @ Via Rail (June 3-October 14)

Thursdays 2PM-6PM at South Parking Lot - Corner of York & Paris (June 1- October 12)

The Kouzzina

The Kouzz is a staple around Sudbury (for a very yummy reason)! A family-run fusion of Greek and Italian heritage, they have the ultimate shareable apps, pizzas, and mains for a great night out with family or friends! Or if you're in the mood for a midday pick-me-up, you can never go wrong with their Mango Mimosa!

Click here for hours - 1463 Lasalle Blvd.

Kivi Park (Crowley Lake)

Kivi Park is one of the best ways to escape the busyness in the city and reconnect with nature, but did you know about their hidden gem? Crowley Lake is located on the South side of the park, with so many ways to enjoy, including: canoeing, kayaking, stand-up paddle boarding, fishing, and hiking. Get back into your fave activity, or you can rent equipment to try something new this Summer!

Sunday - Wednesday 10AM-6PM (weather dependent)

Thursday - Saturday 9AM-8PM (weather dependent)

To access Crowley Lake, turn on to McFarlane off of Long Lake Road and then take a right onto Raft Lake Road. Follow the road through to Kasten Lake Road (also known as Brodill Lake Rd) until you arrive at the gate for Crowley Lake.

Flurple's

Everybody scream for ice cream! Find Flurple's by its pretty purple and orange polka-dotted wall and delight your taste buds with 100% dairy free desserts (we're talking to you, cookie dough connoisseurs!) This is a seasonal operation in Sudbury, so it's a really delicious indication that Summer has arrived.

Open daily from 3-9PM. 593 Kathleen St.

Wander Food & Wine

Chic, eclectic, and globally-inspired— welcome to Wander Food & Wine! This lounge is one of our favourite local escapes for a catch up with our girlfriends. With a rotating menu of tapas, small plates, and a unique wine list, there is always something new to experience. Sipping sangria on their patio will feel like you've been transported to Europe! And if you're feeling adventurous, join them for a tasting or class to broaden your vino knowledge!

Tuesday & Wednesday 4-9pm

Thursday 11am-9pm

Friday & Saturday 11am-10pm

MONTHLY SUNDAY BRUNCH & WINE PAIRING CLASS. 112 Durham Street.

Ruby Berry Farm

Looking for a fun activity with the family? Make it sweet at Ruby Berry Farm in Chelmsford! For over 26 years, this family-run farm has welcomed the community to purchase pre-picked baskets, or pick your own fresh strawberries! And once you've brought home your basket, check out their website for a bunch of fun recipe options to switch up how you serve your local goodies.

Call the Strawberry Hotline for picking availability and information (705-855-9901) -

UPCOMING: YES REFETTORIO

A new spot we can't wait to check out is the YES Refettorio! Described as 'an artistic Neverland,' this performance and community space is set to open later this Summer to promote a sense of community and connection through arts and culture. There are sure to be some incredible productions lined up for this new space, and we can't wait to be fully immersed in the magic that's to come from the theatre... first up is Romeo & Juliet!

Next to the former Roy's Furniture on Durham St. - TBA
